Client Success Story - Minneapolis Deck and Wheelchair Ramp
A local family reached out to Remodel for Life because they needed a safe way to load and unload their disabled child from the garage area. The old deck was deteriorating, and the only access into the home was by stairs. Temporary ramps had been set up, but they quickly became unsafe—especially in the winter when ice and snow made them slippery.
Our team designed and built a lasting solution. We removed the failing deck, raised the service entry door, and built a new deck at the height of the kitchen exit for a smooth, step-free transition into the home. We also added a permanent wheelchair ramp connecting the deck to the garage area. The result is a safe, seamless pathway that gives this family peace of mind and makes daily routines much easier year-round.
