2.1 Program Description
Our SMS messaging program sends appointment confirmations, reminder messages, project updates, and customer support communications to customers who have:
- Booked an appointment with Remodel for Life
- Requested information through our website at https://www.remodelforlifemn.com
- Submitted scheduling or consultation forms
- Explicitly opted in to receive SMS notifications
Messages include:
- Free home assessment scheduling confirmations
- Appointment reminders and rescheduling notifications
- Project status updates and installation schedules
- Payment reminders and invoice notifications
- Customer support communications
- Service-related updates and important notices
2.2 Opt-In Consent

- Message frequency varies based on your service usage, appointment schedule, and project status
- You may receive 2-5 messages per week during active projects
- Messages are directly related to your accessibility remodeling project or services you have requested
- We do not send promotional content without specific consent
2.6 Carrier Liability & Technical Information
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages
- Message delivery depends on your carrier's network availability
- Standard message and data rates may apply based on your mobile plan
- For questions about your text or data plan, contact your wireless provider
2.7 Supported Carriers
Our SMS program works with all major U.S. wireless carriers, including:
- AT&T
- T-Mobile
- Verizon
- Sprint
- Most regional carriers
2.8 Age Restriction
You must be 18 years or older to participate in our SMS program.

5. Service Estimates and Contracts
5.1 Free Home Assessments
We offer free, no-obligation home assessments to evaluate your accessibility needs. During these assessments:
- A certified specialist will visit your home
- We will discuss your specific needs and challenges
- We will provide recommendations for modifications
- You will receive a detailed written estimate
- There is no obligation to proceed with any services
5.2 Project Estimates
All project estimates are:
- Provided in writing
- Valid for 30 days from the date of issue (unless otherwise specified)
- Subject to site conditions and availability of materials
- Based on the information provided during the initial assessment
- Not binding until a formal contract is executed
5.3 Service Contracts
Once you decide to proceed with a project:
- We will provide a detailed service contract outlining the scope of work
- The contract will specify pricing, timelines, payment terms, and warranty information
- Both parties must sign the contract before work begins
- Changes to the scope of work require written approval and may result in adjusted pricing
- All work is performed in accordance with Minnesota building codes and regulations
5.4 Payment Terms
- Payment terms will be specified in your service contract
- We accept various payment methods including credit cards, checks, and financing
- Deposits may be required for larger projects
- Final payment is due upon project completion and client approval
- Late payments may be subject to interest charges as permitted by law
6. Financing
6.1 Third-Party Financing
We partner with third-party financing companies (such as Nelnet) to offer flexible payment options. When you apply for financing:
- You will be redirected to the lender's website
- You must agree to the lender's terms and conditions
- Credit approval is subject to the lender's criteria
- We are not responsible for financing decisions or terms
- Financing terms and rates are determined by the lender
6.2 No Guarantee of Approval
We do not guarantee financing approval. Approval is at the sole discretion of the financing company based on your creditworthiness and their lending criteria.
7. Waiver Programs and VA Benefits
7.1 Minnesota Waiver Programs
We are licensed providers for Minnesota state waiver programs, including:
- DD (Developmental Disability) Waiver
- CADI (Community Access for Disability Inclusion) Waiver
- CAC (Community Alternative Care) Waiver
- AC (Alternative Care Program) Waiver
- BI (Brain Injury) Waiver
- Elderly Waiver
7.2 Veterans Benefits Programs
We are approved providers for VA benefits programs, including:
- SAH (Specially Adapted Housing) Grant
- SHA (Special Housing Adaptation) Grant
- HISA (Home Improvements and Structural Alterations) Grant
7.3 No Guarantee of Coverage
While we assist with documentation and work with case managers:
- We do not guarantee that your project will be covered by waiver programs or VA benefits
- Eligibility and coverage decisions are made by the respective agencies
- You are responsible for understanding your benefits and coverage limits
- You may be responsible for costs not covered by your benefits
8. Warranties and Guarantees
8.1 Service Warranty
We stand behind the quality of our work. All installations and modifications include:
- Workmanship warranty as specified in your service contract
- Compliance with Minnesota building codes and regulations
- Licensed and insured installation services
8.2 Product Warranties
Equipment and products installed carry manufacturer warranties. Warranty terms vary by product and are provided at the time of purchase.
8.3 Limitations
Our warranties do not cover:
- Damage caused by misuse, abuse, or neglect
- Normal wear and tear
- Damage caused by natural disasters or acts of God
- Modifications made by others after installation
- Products or installations not performed by Remodel for Life

17.2 Venue and Jurisdiction
Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or related to these Terms or the Site shall be instituted exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Dakota County, Minnesota. You consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts and waive any objection to venue.
17.3 Informal Resolution
Before filing any formal claim, you agree to first contact us at info@remodelforlifemn.com to attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will attempt to resolve disputes in good faith within 30 days.
17.4 Arbitration
If informal resolution is unsuccessful, you agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except as modified by these Terms. The arbitration shall take place in Dakota County, Minnesota.
Exception: Either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in court to protect intellectual property rights.
17.5 Class Action Waiver
YOU AGREE THAT ANY ARBITRATION OR PROCEEDING SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE DISPUTE BETWEEN US AND YOU INDIVIDUALLY. TO THE FULL EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, (1) NO ARBITRATION OR PROCEEDING SHALL BE JOINED WITH ANY OTHER; (2) THERE IS NO RIGHT OR AUTHORITY FOR ANY DISPUTE TO BE ARBITRATED OR RESOLVED ON A CLASS-ACTION BASIS OR TO UTILIZE CLASS ACTION PROCEDURES; AND (3) THERE IS NO RIGHT OR AUTHORITY FOR ANY DISPUTE TO BE BROUGHT IN A PURPORTED REPRESENTATIVE CAPACITY ON BEHALF OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC OR ANY OTHER PERSONS.
18. General Provisions
18.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any other agreements expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and Remodel for Life regarding the use of the Site and Services.
18.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
18.3 Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not be deemed a waiver of such right or provision.

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or any rights hereunder without our prior written consent. We may assign or transfer these Terms without restriction.
18.5 Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, labor disputes, natural disasters, government actions, or internet/telecommunications failures.
